Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Art Tool)
Description
NetherRealm Studios seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our team responsible for fully supporting our art production tools. We are seeking a forward thinking Self-starter with a passion for advancing technologies. Strong communications, problem solving and analytical skills are a must for this position. Additionally a general understanding of hardware and software trouble shooting/support and the familiarity with the major game consoles and industry standard content creation software’s is desired, (Unreal, Maya, MotionBuilder, 3ds Max, Photoshop…. To name a few). This position is primarily focused on testing and supporting tool sets to be used in production by artists and programmers for content creation.
- Running Test Cases
- Regression Testing
- Bug/Issue Writing and Reporting
- Functional Area Analysis
- Documenting Issues (non-bug writing, not meant for DB entry)
- Attending Departmental and Project related meetings
- Developing/Advancing testing improvements - Automation
- End User / Studio Support
What do we require from you?- High school diploma or equivalent, BS or BA a plus
- 3+ years testing software tools or retail-quality games on Windows/Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft platforms. Multiple platform experience preferred
- Self-starter with a passion for advancing technologies
- Forward thinking, motivated with team player
- Strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to communicate complex and/or detailed information clearly
- Organizational proficiency with the ability to manage time and resources under tight deadlines
- General knowledge of fundamental testing concepts including: Test case usage, bug writing, regression testing, and ad hoc testing.
- Functional testing experience (Tools and software testing desired)
- Experience with custom or retail test case management, test automation, and regression testing
- Broad computer skills and general software knowledge with current industry standard communications and documentation software’s
- Operational knowledge of one or more gaming platforms such as XBoxOne, Xbox360, PS3, Wii, and/or iOS platforms
- Leadership experience
- Unreal experience a major plus
- Bug tracking and database management software knowledge (JIRA, Test Track pro, or equivalent)
- Basic scripting experience and a solid understanding of automation (Microsoft’s UI automation library experience preferred)
- Basic programming experience (C++, HTML, CSS)
- Industry standard art creation software (Autodesk, Adobe, Allegorithmic)
