Senior 3D Artist

MZ, the creators of the globally successful Game of War and Mobile Strike mobile games is looking for creative, ambitious, highly skilled people to develop cutting edge next-gen Game Art for our massive scale mobile games.
                               
The 3d Artist is an integral part of the MZ Game Studio Art team. You should have extensive experience in character and environment modeling and texturing with some familiarity in character rig setups for animation. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years experience as a senior in AAA console/PC and/or mobile games development.

What you'll be doing:
  • Support the Studio Art Director and Lead 3d Artist in the execution of the visual direction
  • Create outstanding 3d assets and texturing that inspires team members 
  • Lighting characters and assets for render passes
  • Normal map modeling using Zbrush, Mudbox or others
  • Implement 3d art assets into the game engine
  • Work with the 3d Lead, Engineering and Tech Art to improve tools and shaders
  • Mentor other artists on various areas of 3d development and provide a wealth of knowledge to external departments
  • Come up with innovative ways to solve problems quickly
Your background and who you are:
  • 5+ years as a 3d Artist with at least 2 AAA game for mobile or console
  • Experience or knowledge in isometric game development and its technical limitations
  • Expert in MAYA, Z-BRUSH, PHOTOSHOP
  • Experience with implementing assets into game engines
  • Ability to model high quality characters, environments, and props that meet technical and design requirements
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently with limited direction to achieve the result that 3d Lead and Art Director is looking for
  • Senior artist have to own their responsibilities and have ability to work well under pressure with deadlines without trading quality
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and organizational skills are must as senior artist
  • Strong fundamental art skills, including composition, design, and color theory.  Possess a wealth of experience and knowledge to create all different level of styles of work.
Bonus points:
  • Advanced rendering skills
  • Worked on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Some low level scripting experience, MEL, PYTHON
  • Understanding of procedural art systems in games
  • Knowledge of XML script and tools
  • Experience in character rigging and animation a plus
