Deck Nine has ranged far and wide with the genres and platforms for their games, but we were always building a reputation for innovative technology and compelling gameplay. For the past four years, Deck Nine has been focused on building remarkable tools and technology for the creation of dramatic storytelling games. We are currently in pre-production on our next big title. We recently shippped Before the Storm, a sequel to the hit game Life is Strange. We have additional projects in the pipeline and are continuing to grow our cinematic, artistic and narrative tools and technology.

Deck Nine Games is looking for experienced Mobile Programmers to join our engineering team. As an experienced engineer, your industry experience will be a vital piece of the puzzle as we grow and innovate modern storytelling games.

You would be responsible for the following:

  • Join a team of software engineers in the design and implementation of game development tools and systems.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers and artists on features.
  • Contribute innovative and original ideas toward all aspects of design and development.
  • Translate gameplay system designs from PC and console to mobile architectures.
  • Demonstrate and apply strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Review the work of other engineers and share knowledge.
  • Perform other similar or related duties as necessary.

Ideally, you have the following mix of qualifications:

  • Proficient in C# and C++ programming languages.
  • Experience releasing and maintaining mobile games on iOS and Android.
  • Demonstrable understanding of mobile game’s interfaces, storage, integrations, and performance limitations.
  • A passion for well architected, robust, maintainable, and extensible code with good coding standards.
  • Degree in software engineering, computer science, physics, math or equivalent.
  • Must exhibit a positive attitude and be a strong team player.
