Assistant Professor of Digital Media

Tenure-track Assistant Professor position in a well-funded Digital Media program (ETSUDigitalMedia.com) at East Tennessee State University (ETSU.edu) in Johnson City, TN.  We are seeking a colleague with a commitment to teaching and strong production skills to teach in our Game Design and Animation concentrations.  We have approximately 300 majors

Minimum qualifications:

• Masters level degree with skills appropriate to Game Design or Animation;
• Strong aesthetic, conceptual, and technical skills in a variety of current digital production software;
• Industry experience in designing, developing and producing work in the game or animation field;
• A portfolio that demonstrates aesthetic, conceptual, and technical skills;
• Good organization, oral and written communication skills.

Preferred qualifications:

• Substantial industry experience in the game and animation fields;
• Teaching experience at post-secondary or graduate level;
• Terminal degree in a related field (PhD or MFA).
