About Lytro Immerge:
Lytro Immerge is the world’s first professional Light Field solution for Virtual Reality. 
From our novel multi-camera rig/array capture system to our rendering, post production tools, and playback environment, Lytro Immerge provides content creators the ability to achieve lifelike presence through capturing the world in six degrees of freedom (6DoF). The system captures live action video for virtual reality with true stereo, parallax and realistic lighting offering  viewers more freedom of movement, superior  image quality, and ultimately a much more immersive experience.

About The Opportunity:
As the number of DCC (Digital Content Creation) supported by LVT grows, you will utilize good optimization methodologies. have a deep understanding of computing bottlenecks, and willingness to work with multiple rendering tools at once.

Main Responsibilities:

    • Overview. Help maintain and develop core acceleration techniques to LVT backend.
    • Day to day: Port existing technique to new renders. Experiment render specific techniques.
    • Long term: Maintain and keep optimizing acceleration techniques in LVT. Both at low and high level.
    • Technology: Windows and linux. Renders (at least on of PRMan, VRay, Arnold).  Standard DCCs (Maya or Max).

Required Skills & Experience:

    • C++ and/or Python programing
    • Linux and Windows programing. 
    • At least one major render plugin/shader development (PRMan, VRay, Arnold). 
    • Strong math background.

Bonus Points:

    • Game engine experience. 
    • Extra render knowledge experience. 
    • Maya/Max knowledge a plus. 
    • Nuke knowledge a plus. 
    • Production experience.
