Design Compositor

Description

CoSA VFX, Inc. seeks a Design Compositor for its North Hollywood studio.  Our company is a fast-paced and highly collaborative production environment, creating award-winning, high-quality VFX. 

Recent projects include Gotham, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Gifted and Westworld, as well as a full slate of prominent television and film projects.  Applicants must be based in Los Angeles, and available for in-person interview at our office in North Hollywood. 

This role will work with our design team to composite style frames and elements into shots, creating photo-real visual effects for our projects. Experience or interest in design would be a huge plus for prospective candidates.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4 years’ + experience working in photo-real VFX for episodic television and motion pictures. 
• High-level knowledge of Nuke or AE, VFX color pipelines and VFX production process, with experience compositing multi-layer EXR, CG, set extensions and FX elements. 
• Skilled in solving creative problems using simple, efficient techniques, share ideas with teammates, and iterate rapidly based on client notes. 
• Able to finish shots independently on a tight episodic TV schedule.
• Effectively work as a part of team collaborating on larger sequences.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Demonstrable experience compositing graphics or dynamic elements into shots
• Keen understanding of lighting in compositing discipline
