Studio Operations Manager



·         This is a dual office administration and HR role in a creative environment. The Studio Operations Manager would work closely with the Vancouver based executive management team and the Los Angeles based HR department.



·         Provides administrative HR support to the BC office, including new hire paperwork, onboarding/offboarding, and tracking employee performance reviews.

·         Oversees reception and makes sure proper procedures are being followed.

·         Support for receptionist/front desk duties – answering phones, receiving clients/visitors, checking media/drives in & out, regular restocking.

·         Responsible for tracking inventory of all office supplies & necessities and placing new supply orders on a regular basis.

·         Keeps track of all office related costs/ invoices/ budgets.

·         Tracks HR data and metrics for BC office.

·         Stays up to date on current local employment laws.

·         With aid of Director of HR advises on employee relations matters.

·         Assists in local recruitment and immigration cases.

·         Coordinates timesheet collection for bi-weekly payroll.

·         Helps maintain a pleasant and functional office space

·         Completes first aid/ fire warden training

·         Assists Marketing team in taking photos and sending content for social media posts.

·         Organizes office events and employee engagement activities.

·         Assists in benefits administration.

·         Communicates and coordinates any office problems or issues that may arise with upper management.

·         Implements office security measures.

·         Oversees and coordinates all building maintenance.

·         Organizes couriers, orders or deliveries as needed.

·         Manages company vault (drives/ tapes/ equipment check ins and check outs)

·         Booking and organizing travel for employees, including flights, hotels, car rentals.

·         Handles furniture/ supply requests.



·         Approachable and knowledgeable with a minimum of 2 years experience in a HR role.

·         Extremely organized with working knowledge of Microsoft office and excel.

·         Strengths include conflict resolution, pro active, and consistently on the look out for improvements.

·         Clear communicator, with great problem solving skills and strong initiative.

·         Excellent written and verbal skills with a high level of attention to detail.

·         Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

·         Previous experience in a VFX/ post production facility preferred.

·         College degree preferred.
