Production Engineering Team Lead

Description

Production Engineering is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic lead for one of our teams. Currently the team has five developers and their responsibilities centre around our content management systems. Most of the work is in Python, with a little C++, and a mixture of frontend and backend work.

As lead, you'll be responsible for keeping the team happy and productive and will act as a "product owner" for the team’s projects. You'll need to be an experienced Python developer with a broad understanding of VFX pipelines and (hopefully!) an interest in content management systems. Perhaps you've worked as a team lead before, or maybe you're just looking for a new challenge!

Content management is a core feature of our pipeline and the quality of these tools effects how we all work together to make movies. You need to know how to build relationships across our departments and be able to distil complex problems into elegant solutions.

Desired skills:

• Excellent communications skills
• 5+ years professional experience in the VFX industry
• 5+ years professional experience as a software engineer (preferably in Python)
• Familiarity with of Maya, MotionBuilder and other VFX applications
• Understanding of API design, UI development & software testing
