Pennsylvania
College of Art & Design is seeking a full-time faculty member to join our
recently established Digital Media department. The primary responsibility of
this position will be to provide professional level teaching and instruction to
prepare students for a successful career in a variety of technology-based art
and design disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in 3D
animation, modeling, texturing, and lighting. Experience with UE4 level design
is highly preferred.
PCA&D is located in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. Lancaster, a small city where the emerging contemporary and
traditional arts scenes are thriving. Lancaster is a city of friendly

PCA&D is a small private, independent

Qualifications:
· A minimum of 5 years as a working professional in animation,
gaming, or related field
· Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
· Expertise in 3D character animation and 3D software (Maya,
Z-Brush, etc.)
· Expertise in Unreal Engine 4 highly preferred
· Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
· Active industry presence and/or affiliation and participation in
relevant professional organizations
· College-level teaching experience highly preferred
· Experience designing curriculum and measuring student
performance preferred
· Commitment to the highest level of academic standards and
integrity
Responsibilities:
· Provide professional level teaching and instruction.
· Evaluate and assess student work and provide feedback on a
general and individual basis.
· Respond to student emails and meet with students individually as
needed.
· Provide required Assessment documentation for each course
taught.
· Design/revise course content as needed.
· Attend department meetings, critiques, and/or events.
· Assume additional departmental responsibilities a needed.
· Maintain active participation in the industry and stay current
with industry standards, technological advancements, etc.
This is
full-time position with benefits will require teaching three six-hour courses
or 9 total credits per semester using high-end resources. Ongoing practice and
scholarship in the profession is expected.
