In VTT we deliver Intel's 3D graphics, media, display GPU, and Parallel Computing Technology. VTT Platform Layout/CAD Lead Contex team  desires entry into market segments served by high performance discrete graphics. Participation in market segments served by discrete graphics requires the delivery of reference platforms to downstream customers with sufficient confidence in the design to ramp this design or very close derivative into high volume production quickly. Intel is building this capability and now seeks to create a discrete graphics Platform System Engineering team.  This team is looking for a Graphics Platform Thermal Design Lead  to join our team and who is ready to make significant impact in the graphics and visual computing The VTT organization is headquartered in Folsom, CA with significant development teams in Santa Clara, Bangalore India, shanghai China, Gdansk Poland and now Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

The VTT Platform Thermal Design Lead, shall lead the thermal and mechanical development of advanced, high performance, cost effective, quiet and reliable thermal solutions for Intel's discrete graphics chips.  In this role you shall drive the design of high performance thermal solutions for Intel graphics cards. You shall work with technology partners to drive advanced cooling technologies.   You shall interact with the Board design, SOC design team, the board layout, board validation and other associated teams that are integral to the launch of the products.  In addition you may work with key OEM/ODM partners in support of their thermal solutions and product designs. Required Background This is a key position within the Intel VTT development organization.  The successful candidate shall have demonstrated a successful track record of delivering high quality thermal designs. The market segments served by discrete graphics are fast moving the successful candidate shall demonstrate a high level of comfort with change and change management.


Qualifications

Candidate should have a degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, related field.

Candidate should have 5+ years of experience with the following:

  • Experience delivering thermal/mechanical cooling solutions.
  • Experience in modern thermal simulation and modeling, and advanced acoustic management techniques.
  • Experience delivering thermal reliable, cost effective solutions for successful high-volume production
  • Design of designs that balance mechanically reliability, aesthetic and active cooling solutions
  • Provision of second level thermal/mechanical technical support to ODM/OEM board vendors Advantages
  • Experience in delivering PCIe compliant cooling solutions for products from sub 50 watts to greater than 300 watts.
  • A passion to deliver effective, attractive, show case products.
