FX TD (JR)

Description

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the FX Leads and FX Supervisors, the JUNIOR FX Artist receives creative direction to create high-caliber dynamic and riveting visual effects. This role requires troubleshooting skills to solve technical and artistic issues while meeting client requirements and production deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the FX Leads and FX Supervisors to create various FX elements for film
• Revise simulations based on client and supervisor feedback in a timely manner
• Coordinate with Lighting Dept. to ensure smooth integration of your FX elements

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• Reel showing some FX samples from work, school or personal projects
• Previous work experience in a VFX or game development facility
• Experience with 3dsmax, Thinking Particles, FumeFX, nCloth, Krakatoa is a big plus
• Ability to art-direct simulations and meet deadlines
• Be a team-player and able to work well in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of physics and realistic motion at different scales
• Strong willingness to grow & learn new methods and share knowledge
• A passion for film and visual effects
• Excellent communication skills
