Sr Solutions Engineer - DRIVE OS

We need passionate, hard-working and creative people to help us tackle more of these challenging opportunities in Autonomous Driving.

The solutions engineering team is searching for engineers to help develop and bring NVIDIA’s autonomous vehicle platform to the world. You will be responsible for the execution of a ground-breaking solution into industry leading automotive OEM’s production vehicle platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a customer focused engineering team as you work to integrate NVIDIA’s DRIVE SW platform.

What you'll be doing:

  • Work directly onsite with customer engineering teams to integrate and enable the NVIDIA DRIVE platform.

  • Manage overall software package design and become a subject matter expert in NVIDIA development tools.

  • Drive activities surrounding problem tracking and resolution.

  • Develop and manage a software plan including scoping software content and timing.

  • Understand and communicate customer delivery requirements and priorities

  • Design and code software patches and enable root cause analysis

  • Provide input into customer specifications, testing, and validation efforts.

What we need to see:

  • BS/MS degree in computer engineering or related technical field.

  • 3+ years of industry experience in software development, preferably focusing on operating systems or system software.

  • Strong knowledge of C/C++ and Python.

  • Familiar with source control tools (git, Perforce, etc.)

  • Background in system programming, threading, mutex, synchronization, communication, and parallel computing

  • Experience with parallel programming, ideally CUDA C/C++.

  • Effective communicator with a logical approach to problem solving, alongside excellent time management and task prioritization skills.

  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.

  • Customer facing skill-set

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Prior experience working in the following areas: Kernel development, Autonomous Vehicles, Robotics, Self-Driving Cars, GPU technology, Computer Vision, Deep Learning
  • Experience working with automotive OEMs and suppliers
  • Solid working experience with Linux/QNX, BSP support, Kernel development and experience with OS scheduling, event handling, real-time requirements.
  • Familiarity with MISRA and ISO26262 standards.
