Chair of Production/Themed Entertainment Design

Description

SCAD production design and themed entertainment design programs focus on a comprehensive spectrum of professional careers from film, television and stage productions to live events, theme parks and experiential design using immersive technologies. As Georgia’s thriving film and television industry continues to expand, SCAD seeks an experienced entertainment design professional to lead the production design and themed entertainment design programs. Winners of multiple awards, from Walt Disney Imagineering’s Imaginations Design Competitions to Student Emmy for Best Scripted Series, the students pursuing degrees in these programs reflect the top-level knowledge taught in their classes.

You have an opportunity to lead the SCAD production design and themed entertainment design faculty to prepare the next generation of design professionals who will bring stories and experiences to life on screen, stage or through built environments. The chair of production design and themed entertainment design fosters a collaborative and professionally oriented academic environment where curricular offerings in and out of class mirror professional practices. In addition to leading curricular enhancements to ensure academic excellence and fostering engaging learning experiences for students in production design and themed entertainment design, the chair shows leadership in elevating the recognition of these programs through high-profile awards and rankings.
