Description
SCAD seeks a designer to ensure excellence and quality on new construction, renovation, historic preservation and facility maintenance projects.
In this role, you will develop innovative design solutions for a variety of challenges in the project lifecycle, from construction documentation and administration to successful client satisfaction post-occupancy.
The ideal candidate has experience in all phases of the design process, including execution of conceptual, schematic and design development, construction documents, and supporting materials. Proficiency with 2-D and 3-D software is essential, including AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
In addition to a high level of technical skill and applicable experience, you should also be willing to roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to make each project a success. You should be proactive, team oriented and comfortable working in a collaborative, open environment.
The ability to manage and lead the design of multiple projects and deadlines is crucial to this role, as well as excellent verbal and graphic communication skills, effective client relationship capabilities, and talent for working with diverse teams of professionals.
Requirements:
? Master’s degree in architecture, interior design or related field
? Ability to travel, domestically and internationally
? Registered architect or NCIDQ Certified interior designer preferred
