SkyBox Labs is a world-class game studio, making games across all platforms. We have long been a trusted partner for the industry's best publishers on award-winning franchises like Age of Empires, as well as working on our own IP. We’re currently partnering with Microsoft to work on Halo Infinite and the Minecraft franchise. Gaming is our passion and we offer one of the best places to work in Vancouver.
We are currently looking for a bright, eager, and hardworking software engineer that wants to be a part of our talented and fast-moving team.
Job Description
- Collaborate with designers and other senior engineers to help drive game features through tools and pipelines
- Be an expert and owner for key areas of technology, but still know when to ask for help
- Guide, mentor, and contribute to the feedback process to improve the development team and our relationship with our partners
- Provide updates on technology risks and obstacles to leads and PMs
- Push the boundaries of what you know by learning new technologies and systems to meet our technical and business needs
Requirements- 3-4 years of game development experience (or bring your great personal projects to show us what you can do)
- Shipped multiple successful AAA titles on PC or console
- Expertise in C++
- Excellent knowledge of software design and architecture best practices
- Advanced skills in physics and math for 3D game development
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- A commitment to self-direction, collaboration and constant improvement
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic work environment
- A passion for games
- Fluency in C# is nice to have, but not required
