They are an award-winning creative house building kids entertainment in animation, marketing and merchandise across the globe. Their continued success in preschool entertainment has them hiring more talent. They continue looking for top notch people to join their expanding enterprise.
Currently looking for a Design Supervisor/Art Director, Character Design. Current and New IP Development.
You enjoy being hands-on designing and also collaborating, brainstorming ideas and concepts with others.
You have learned how to manage and inspire other designers, pushing them where you can to get better at what they do.
You love creating new characters and ideas. You love to draw, thumbnail, sketch and re-sketch challenging yourself and others to come up with unique and entertaining children's entertainment.
You love working with others, bringing others up, supporting each other.
Requirements
10+ years in professional character design
3+ years managing other designers. Assigning tasks, following up, coaching and mentoring other juniors.
Strong character design portfolio
Manage internal and freelance talent coaching them on several shows in pre-production.
Experience working in animation or similar industries. You understand how the designs will be used when applied to packaging, toy designs, modeling and moving as in animation.
Ability to work in a matrixed management environment with multiple teams and stakeholders across divisions and departments.
