FuseFX has an opening in Los Angeles! We have opportunities at our studio for an experienced and talented Concept Artist with a background in television and/or feature film VFX to join our creative team.

A FuseFX Concept Artist is responsible for painting/creating concept art for photorealistic entertainment projects.  FuseFX is an Emmy-award winning visual effects and animation studio focused on producing photo-real digital effects for feature film, episodic television, and commercials.

Responsibilities:

• Create & design conceptual artwork for current projects under directions of the art department and show team
• Develop the project’s artistic vision alongside the team
• Reviewing client/company notes to determine the type and style of elements required
• Communicating with the show team effectively to meet client expectations
• Researching material to create realistic and convincing concepts
• Creative reference and model packages
• Preparing tests of proposed concepts to show to the VFX Supervisor and/or client to apprise them of the progress and synchronization of matte work

 Traits of a successful FuseFX Concept Artist:

• Extensive experience in Photoshop, other 3D packages helpful as well such as Maya, Nuke
• Strong knowledge of lighting, color, and composition
• Understanding of issues of perspective and parallax as they relate to a scene
• Familiar with 3D modeling, animation and cinematic principles
• Strong point of view with a variety of styles both stylized and photoreal
• Ability to craft creative solutions to situations as they occur
