Graphics Programmer

Deck
Nine Games is looking to hire a talented Senior Graphics Programmer to help define
and deliver the look of an unannounced AAA single-player adventure game.
Located
near Boulder, Colorado, Deck Nine Games is a BAFTA and VGA nominated developer
of narrative adventure games. Always innovating, we're growing and are seeking
highly qualified programmers to join our amazing team.
Our
programmers are in creative positions that collaborate closely across
disciplines with some of the most passionate developers in the world.
Currently the studio is remote, waiting until it is safe to return to the office. For this position we would consider both onsite and fully remote applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Work
closely with talented artists and programmers to make amazing games that focus
on visual storytelling
- Research
and deliver on the latest rendering techniques to keep us on the cutting edge
of the console and PC industry
- Help
drive the look of our game across a wide range of platforms while maintaining
fantastic visuals
- Optimize
effects and graphics to make sure we look the best we can and run smoothly
- Work
with technical artists and content creators to help define best practices
Requirements & Skills:
- Senior-level
experience in the console/PC industry
- Bachelor’s
Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Graphics, Math, or equivalent
- A
passion for creating gorgeous and optimized visuals
- Strong
3D math and linear algebra skills
- Strong
knowledge of C++ programming language
- Expertise
in the latest shading and lighting techniques
- Be a
driven, motivated personality that wants to make great games
Pluses:
- Unreal
4 experience
- Multiple
shipped titles in a graphics role
- AAA
games experience
- Raytracing
experience

About Deck Nine
Deck Nine Games is an independent game developer dedicated to
crafting interactive story games that inspire, transform, and entertain
players. Our passion is storytelling games.
Our first narrative game, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is
loved by fans and has won multiple awards, including Game of Year and was
nominated for both a VGA and a BAFTA. The studio is 100+ people and is in sunny
Westminster, Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains. We hope to share more
information about our next title with Square Enix as soon as we can.
