Format: 2D Adobe Animate

Location: Vancouver

Term: Fixed, 18 months with the possibility of extension or permanent position

Ferly is helping Yellow Animation to look for an on-site, Producer/Line Producer to join the Vancouver team.

 Main function and purpose of the role:

To work with the existing team to plan, supervise and carry responsibility for the production of the international co-production TV series Momolu and Friends, to comply with the production’s creative standards and financial requirements from initial script to delivery on the required format.

 Duties and Responsibilities include:

Preparing, monitoring and controlling TV budgets covering
resources (people, materials, equipment, facilities and time) required to carry out the production’s activities. To keep strict control on all expenditures relative to the production and to provide a detailed cost report monthly.
  • Scheduling all resources within the production to meet previously agreed Production timescales.
  • Managing a team of around 30 artists, working on production of scripts, storyboards, design and edit, FX, Comp and Animation. Being the main point of contact for the crew and ensuring they’re aware of their responsibilities and duties.
  • Assigning daily/weekly tasks, ensuring the team members are getting tasks done.
  • Being responsible to the BC Health & Safety in the Work place Act throughout the production process, both as an employee and in supervisory responsibilities.
  • Negotiating and issuing crew contracts in liaison with senior management team.
  • Retaining a good working relationship between the co-production partners, broadcasters, freelance workers, subcontractors and staff.
  • Staying aware, when planning the production, of the other requirements within the company, both production and otherwise, to ensure no resourcing conflicts occur.
  • Where necessary, liaising with writers regarding the launch and delivery of scripts.
  • Managing the archiving of all production documentation including contracts, timesheets, NDA’s etc.
  • Managing the productions short- and long-term resource planning, incl. recruitment of new team members, ensuring staffing levels are adequate.
  • Creating or overseeing the production and asset breakdowns, managing and coordinating the asset workflow (depending on the project size either by self or with the production team).
  • Tracking the status of different projects and work stages.
  • Overseeing any marketing and sales materials required, participating in planning marketing.
  • Ensuring all relevant parties are aware of deviations from schedule, requirements, or crewing levels/issues.

We’re looking for an efficient, reliable, and self-motivated team player with fluent English skills who doesn’t mind potentially working with multiple productions simultaneously. Canadian Soft money financing experience with a working understanding of BC and Canadian tax credits is an asset. European Co-Production experience useful, but not essential. BC permanent residency is relevant. The position is fixed-term (18 months) with the possibility to become permanent.
