Kabuki Artist

Description

We are a Wellington, NZ based feature film production company creating the Avatar movies in an AR/VR space.  We are building a team of Kabuki artists.  Kabuki is a process by which we stabilize and map video reference facial media to digital character assets within a virtual production pipeline.  Ideal candidates should have camera tracking/match move experience and an eye for detail. A background in facial animation is a plus, though not required. 

Must Have

·      2-4 years experience or schooling in one or more of the following: VFX, Games, Animation, 3D Graphics or Visualization.

·      Strong problem-solving skills.

·      Strong ability to manage ever-changing assignments, priorities, and complex workflows. 

The project has an initial delivery in mid-2025 with the potential for ongoing contracts. 

You will be joining a team working at the forefront of digital film-making, with industry leaders.  There will be an initial period of training.

The role will be based on-site in Wellington, NZ. You will be engaged as an independent contractor (based on 51.25 hours per week).  Applicants must be NZ residents.
