Quality Assurance Director

Description

As Quality Assurance Director you execute will build, maintain, and support the processes for hiring, training and testing of Quality Assurance personnel on full-time/part-time and temporary basis. You will also establish and maintain quality assurance protocols for internally and externally developed products that equal or exceed commercially acceptable standards for console and PC products.

Ensure high performance testing is implemented company wide and on a product level to ensure product salability, compatibility, and reliability for all products.

The Quality Assurance Director is also responsible for managing and hiring testing staff, supervising product test plans, requisitioning hardware, working with external testing and customer support vendors and working with various production staff in coordination of testing cycles and focus testing.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise personnel on a daily basis. Duties include overseeing title submissions into QA, overseeing assignment of crews to title submissions, overseeing current Title Status / Reports provided by Lead Testers, maintaining constant communication with all producers pertaining to Titles submitted to QA.

• Contribute and author information for annual QA Tester/Analyst reviews.

• Maintaining efficient, constructive, and professional relationships with various internal / external departments and/or companies that QA works with.

• Remaining in constant communication with QA test leads providing relevant updates as to the day-to-day operations of the department.

• Supervising the headcount of employees to ensure effective coverage of all title submissions, and to do so within the allotted time provided QA for test cycles.

• Tracking personnel issues including contractor performance and discrepancies, attendance, hour reporting accuracy and expense reporting accuracy.

• Providing as necessary information directly to the Director of Format QA regarding any Offline status and issues relevant to effectively managing the department. A summary of daily activity and achievements allows for high level, efficient supervision and management.

• Forecast various aspects of the QA; to assist with overall departmental budget planning, and forecasting of personnel hiring/contracting trends based on historical data.

• Contributing analysis of testing environments, database adminstration and hardware necessary to perform fundamental QA processes. Providing useful analysis to streamline procedures and methodologies is required.
