The FX Artist at Blur has a solid
understanding of particles, atmospherics, rigid body dynamics and fluid
simulations with strong lighting and comping abilities. They create
natural phenomena such as water, dust, smoke, explosions along with the
destruction of buildings, vehicles, space ships, planets and anything
else you can think of. A strong understanding of motion and scale of an
effect is important.
Minimum of 1-2 years production experience and an
expert knowledge of CG FX software is required. (3ds Max, Thinking
Particles, Pflow, Fume, Ray Fire, Vray, Realflow and Digital Fusion are
all a plus.)
