Artistic Director (Motion Designer)

Artistic Director is responsible for creation of visual style and design of game UI, the game’s cut scenes and PiP videos and help wrapping up the game to the finest quality.

Artistic Director must supervise the creation of graphical menu user interfaces which will communicate the relevant information required in order to guide the player and improve the total player experience. Artistic Director will work in close cooperation with the top talents and core team members of a project, such as Producers, Creative Director, Art Director, Game Designers and Lead Programmer.

Key Duties:

Develop concepts and the design of the game menus and animated user interfaces
Makes sure the designs are elaborated by UI team and correctly integrated production team
Assure that game information is well conveyed through the various user interfaces.
Coordinate with external resources, i.e. CGI companies and SFX companies

Other Responsibilities

Qualifications & Technical Skills:

Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design (or the equivalent) specialized in motion design and 2D and 3D design work, COGNITIVE ERGONOMICS background is a big plus
A solid motion design portfolio demonstrating graphic design skills
Must work in Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect (or Shake, Digital Fusion, and Nuke), 3DSMAX (or Maya and XSI), and Flash

Assets:

Good understanding of 2D digital compositing and 3D modeling
Knowledge of user interface usability and web design (optional)

Other Qualifications:
· Creativity (originality and resourcefulness when searching for solutions). Ability to inspire UI team
· Sense of initiative, ability to accept critiques and adapt to change
· Comprehension of “Action Script” language
