Animator

Midway Games Inc. is a leading developer, publisher, and marketer of interactive entertainment software. Midway videogames are available for play on all major videogame platforms including the Playstation3 computer entertainment system, Xbox360 video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo Wii, and Nintendo DS. Midway is legendary in the industry with early breakthrough titles including Defender and Spy Hunter. More recent blockbuster titles include NBA Ballers, Blitz: The League and the Mortal Kombat series.

Our Los Angeles/Moorpark studio is looking for an Animator.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for motion capture data cleanup as well as the solving of the data in Motion Builder and then getting the motions into the game.

• Responsible for learning the entire animation pipeline and creating dynamic animations that incorporate the principles of animation.

• Animators will be working on in-game and cinematic animations for our game.

• 2-3 years Games industry experience

• Knowledge of the principles of animation

• Experience in either 3D Max or Maya is required.

• Knowledge of Motion Builder is a bonus as is experience working with mocap data (either Motion Analysis or Vicon data).

• Good communication and organizational skills are required as well.

Education Requirements
• College degree or 2-4 years industry experience
