JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank is staffing for current and future projects, including "Tak and the Power of Juju".

We're hiring animators, generalists, texture mappers, and technical directors for the CG department. We're looking for great talent to work on a challenging and exciting show in a fun environment.

The Nickelodeon Animation Studio is looking for a Technical Director for our CG Department.

The Technical Director should have 2-4 years of industry experience in film, broadcast, and/or games. The ideal candidate should be a generalist, able to jump from problems to solutions in short order. A great "can do" attitude and open-mindedness to non-traditional solutions is essential. We are looking for individuals who have extensive knowledge, experience and skill sets implementing the following into a Maya production pipeline:

Character Set-up/Rigging/Weighting/Skinning Character Modeling/Texturing/UVs Shaders Mental Ray & Maya Renderers Lighting Fur Cloth Particles Referencing.

Your portfolio should include a diverse sampling of work pertaining to the position to which you are applying. For example, a storyboard portfolio should include only storyboards in various styles. One page of life drawing at the end of the portfolio is sufficient. We only accept flat book portfolios for our 2D positions, and reels only in application to our 3D CGI positions.
