Hardware Engineer - Previz

Description

System design and definition of system level requirements in the development of studio AV solutions including Previz, video-teleconferencing, production approvals space, screening rooms, multi-purpose rooms and executive offices.
- Produce engineering drawings in AutoCAD format. Drawings include but are not limited to site plans, equipment room layouts, rack elevations, system block diagrams and cable schematics. Experience in producing TV broadcast video and audio drawings is preferred.
- Work with junior engineers and technicians to identify, prioritize and execute improvement actions for production support efforts studio-wide.
- Interface with department lead, project management, production staff and executive management for work over multiple tasks. Maintain accountability for design criteria and concepts, planning, scheduling, cost estimating and control and follow-up of the tasks.
- Provide technical input and assessment in the preparation of project and design proposals.
- Establish and implement Previz design standards and design review checklists to be used during design efforts.
- Assist with development of standard procedures for AV integration and testing tasks as well as monitoring and maintenance of A/V deployments.
