RenderMan Studio Support Engineer

Summary of this Position:

Track, troubleshoot, and solve Pixar Studio support requests concerning RenderMan software.

General Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide day-to-day technical support including: manage nightly builds, document and reproduce new RenderMan issues, provide users with updates on open RenderMan issues, and keep internal and external support databases up to date
· Investigate and resolve issues reported by the Studio
· Investigate and fix bugs reported by the Studio
· Elicit discussion on and implement features requested by the Studio
· Interface with Pixar Studio Tools group and technical directors on technical issues
· Interface with each Pixar film production on technical issues
· Organize and make available to the Studio internal releases of RenderMan
· Create and update patch notes for internal releases of RenderMan
· Provide periodic presentations on new or changed RenderMan features
· Train users in system operation and application use
· Produce documentation for use either in training sessions or for stand-alone use
· Other duties as assigned
