Oracle Applications Administrator/DBA

Description

DreamWorks Animation has an immediate opening for an Oracle Applications Administrator– who will provide application administration support for all Oracle-based Corporate Systems applications.

Responsibilities:
- Provide consulting to diagnose end users problems; work with the team, as well as business partners, to resolve and impart appropriate follow-up to end users. Escalate issues, identify risks, prioritize tasks, develop alternative solutions and innovate.
- Work with developers and users to review code, and review unit tests to be implemented via stored procedures, views, sml/html and other customer applications.
- Install, configure, upgrade, evaluate Patches/Fixes, maintain system configurations, monitors batch cycles, data cleanup, testing, filing/resolving SRs, and assisting in developing project plans.
- Module/Application specific security and administration on the above mentioned software (users, responsibilities, custom extensions etc.)
- Manage the content of software releases once each release is approved. This includes ensuring appropriate signoff and testing of software through all environments.
- Participate in the 24x7 on-call schedule. Ensure all Business Applications and Reporting applications are available and at peak performance during published hours of availability.
