Description of Duties

• Coordinates game-related communication between Nintendo and Retro
• Manages creative process in studio and coordinates with Nintendo and Senior Producer to manage all aspects of the creative design of the product
• Defines and maintains product goals and timelines
• Guides and manages creative direction of the studio throughout the production process
• Manages creative staff to successfully meet project objectives
• Successfully integrates Nintendo feedback into process while nurturing and educating staff into Nintendo/Japanese style of game development
• Works closely with Nintendo to conceive, develop and oversee implementation of game designs
• Oversees the implementation of established artistic direction into product art
• Provides both creative design and art direction to subordinates and peers to ensure that the original game idea or game concept is consistent throughout the product cycle
• Establishes and manages game play mechanics to meet the high expectations of Nintendo software products
• Manages various production personnel including game designers and artists
• Works in conjunction with Senior Producer to define production scheduling and will also be expected to act as project liaison with Nintendo
• Responsible for presentation of product and production plan, as necessary
