Penn State, Information Technology Services (ITS), Research Computing and Cyberinfrastructure (RCC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Research Programmer in Visualization. RCC supports the Penn State research community through deployment of high-performance computing and visualization resources in partnership with leading faculty researchers. We now offer an excellent opportunity for innovative use of visualization applications and programming at one of the nation's leading academic institutions.

Working with faculty, graduate students and research personnel, you will creatively apply visualization applications, programming techniques, displays and interactive devices to problems in science, engineering or design research. Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Working with research faculty and students from diverse disciplines to understand their visualization needs and implement custom solutions on a project basis
-Assisting with software selection, system design, implementation and performance analysis for visualization systems deployed by the group
-Coordinating deployment of visualization software tools with systems staff
-Developing and maintaining online documentation and procedures
-Developing and conducting end-user training and outreach seminars
-Representing the group locally and nationally
