Established in 2006, ImageMovers Digital is a motion picture studio in Marin County devoted to the performance capture films of Academy Award-winning director/producer Robert Zemeckis. We currently employ over 300 employees and continue to search for talented individuals to join our company. We are currently in production on the feature film “A Christmas Carol” starring Jim Carrey as Scrooge and the three ghosts of Christmas.

Compositor

Compositing at IMD is first and foremost a collaborative position. Compositors are required to work closely with many other artists in all areas of the production pipeline. While the primary job will be to finish and final Stereoscopic images, many other aspects of compositing will be required. This demands a team spirited personality with a willingness to do many varied and divergent tasks as needed and assigned by supervisors.


Responsibilities:

• Compositors will be responsible for compositing stereoscopic and 2d imagery in an efficient, timely and artistic manner achieving a level of quality as defined by supervisors
• Compositors will need to be able to maintain organized and efficient scripts, be able work from a template and retain the general organization of that template. Compositors will also need to be able to build and maintain scripts from the ground up
• Compositors will need to be able to work and interact with Directors, FX Supervisors, All Discipline Supervisors and Production personnel in a professional and respectful manner
• Communication is a key element in the IMD pipeline and excellent and extensive communication is mandatory for this position
• Collaboration is also paramount and the synergistic sharing of techniques and knowledge is not only expected but required
• Ability to work and contribute in a team oriented environment
