Clinical Assistant Professor

Description

Purdue University is accepting applications for a Clinical Assistant Professor of Computer Graphics Technology commencing August 2009. This is an academic-year, 10-month position with a two-year initial appointment continuously renewable based upon successful job performance and enrollment. This position includes all benefits of a Purdue University faculty member with advancement through Clinical Full Professor possible.

The successful candidate will have industry-based expertise in computer graphics with a strong understanding of aesthetics and technology. Prior teaching is a plus. Applicant must have skill and knowledge in 3D animation including modeling, texturing, lighting, rigging, rendering, and scripting. Experience as an artistic, technical or production pipeline director is highly desired. Gaming experience is a plus.
