Sr. Storage Admin

Description

The Senior Storage Admin will test, integrate and administrate existing & emerging storage technologies which work to improve services and meet business objectives. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter who works well in a team environment and can direct team efforts as required to complete project objectives; while following industry best practices.

Technical Skills:
- Experience administering a storage environment for file services and solid understanding of protocols such as NFS, CIFS, FC, iSCSI, and NDMP.
- Experience with DFM and VFM and installing and configuring vfiler, qtree
- Experience with Microsoft iSCSI software initiator configuration
- Experience with Enterprise Class Backup Systems such as TSM, Veritas or Legato a plus

Job Responsibilities:
- Storage provisioning, Storage Array/NAS Performance Tuning
- Storage Area Network (Zoning / Alerting, monitoring, analysis, solution identification)
- Deploys, configures, maintains, & documents enterprise storage area network and network attached storage components
- Responds to incident management tickets and failure and alert event notifications 24 x 7 to ensure capacity demands
- Monitors, escalates, and remediate NAS & SAN device/application {access, performance, events} alerts to identify/ potential incidents. Escalates and follows incidents with senior management
