Columbia College Chicago is an urban institution of over 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students emphasizing arts, media, and communications in a liberal arts setting. The Department of Interactive Arts and Media seeks a tenure track faculty member with creative vision and technical proficiency to support the broad interactive arts and interaction design agendas reflected in our two undergraduate programs: Game Design (BA) and Interactive Arts & Media (BA/BFA).

The Department's current faculty mix reflects our culture and ethos: that exciting things happen in the dynamics that exist between artistic sensibility and applied technology. We seek candidates who embrace the transience of technology and who can model the "learning to learn" agenda we ask of our students, typified by demonstrable competency in a field outside their titular academic discipline, i.e., we seek artists who can code, coders who can draw, dreamers who can build.
