Job Overview
The ideal candidate is an experienced lead software engineer that has worked on MMO server development and shipped one or more MMO games. The candidate should have a proven track record in successfully developing multiplayer and/or MMO server systems to production quality. Strong communication skills across disciplines are important for the candidate to succeed in our dynamic development environment.
Responsibilities
•Work with an Agile sprint team to define, estimate, and implement game supporting server systems.
•Act as a champion and point of contact for the server systems and architecture.
•Work with design and other engineering teams to specify server systems.
•Write, document and test code to implement the technical and game design
•Review and critique code design and implementation from other programmers
•Manage and mentor a small team of software engineers.
•Work with lead engineer(s) and architect(s) to develop server architectures for future games.
•Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the software development process.
