Position Summary: The NYU-TV Center, a part of Division of Libraries at NYU, is seeking a TV / New Media Content Specialist. The NYU-TV network is presently comprised of 3 cable TV channels. The TV / New Media Content Specialist position coordinates all video programming and graphic content to appear on NYU-TV network transmitted over the NYU Campus Cable system as well as available on the web and other digital repositories.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Research and secure content for all channels either by licensing already produced content with outside vendors or securing rights and releases for already NYU owned content.
- Ensure all talent and content releases required for airing content on both the analog and digital channels are completed and filed for long term storage and access.
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations and copyright guidelines.
- Establish and maintain video library of all original content both tape and digital.
- Ensure all original Television Center produced content that is archived digitally complies with Division of Libraries and NYU-ITS established protocols, including metadata schemas and inclusion in designated databases.
- Serve on the production team for university events in support of the departments production efforts.
- Participate and serve as a representative of the department to encourage content development of local programming initiatives especially to attract original student programming.
- Coordinate publicity and promotion for the channels as well as for the other operational units.
- Curate and create programming themes for the various channels of NYU-TV and coordinate such activities with other Library, Student Life and University initiatives.
- Coordinate the production of original content for airing on NYU-TV including graphics and interstitials.
