Sr. Animator
Description
WB Games San Francisco seeks a Sr. Animator to join our Art team.
What part will you play?
The preferred candidate will be responsible for helping develop & create key frame animations using Maya as well as game implementation using Unity. Creatively, the Sr. Animator must have a command of multiple animation styles, from highly stylized, with an emphasis on strong posing and timing, to realistic, as well as being comfortable with both humanoid and creature animations. A background in rigging and character set up is a plus.

You will be a hardworking self-motivated team player that brings future heroes and worlds to life. You should demonstrate strong character combat animations for AAA games.
- Hand key frame character motions for combat and cinematic purposes.
- Ability to teach and mentor more junior animator.
- Be the “holder” of the animation styling and reasoning within a specific game.
- Document and actively help in the creation of the art bible.
What do we require from you?- BA in art or related field or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 7+ years of experience with high-end game engine, working with mocap data, key framed animations and facial/lip synch animations, executing at a high bar.
- Shipped AAA on Mobile or console as a senior or lead animator title.
- Thorough understanding of animation theory and technique.
- Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Maya, Unity, (Motion builder is a plus.).
- Increase the team’s skills through mentorship of learned skills, process and artistic techniques.
- Passion for making and playing great games, with an awareness of current titles and industry trends.
