inXile entertainment is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Lead Software Engineer to join the our team on an exciting unannounced project.  The ideal candidate will have proven experience in making networked multiplayer games, while providing technical mentorship and guidance for a team of engineers that supports a live service title.

Responsibilities:

?

• Guide the development of a PC-focused multiplayer title.

• Manage and mentor a team of engineers.

• Provide guidance for gameplay mechanics, large shared-world optimizations, and client/server interaction security.

• Work with production staff and other leads to establish engineering tasks and manage schedule requirements.

• Review completed engineering tasks in collaboration with the production staff and other leads.

• Overseeing the ongoing development and maintenance of a live service title

Requirements:

?

• Extensive familiarity with Unreal Engine 4.

• Strong, proven C++ and C# skills.

• Database utilization experience for user data in MongoDB/SQL/Cosmos.

• Minimum of 5 years professional experience in programming software.

• Previous leadership and management experience 

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with artists, designers, and other engineers.

• High comfort level extending and improving an established code base.

• Previous experience supporting and shipping AAA game titles.

• Experience supporting a live service.

• Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related degree.
