Tools Programmer

Deck Nine Games is looking to hire a talented Senior or Lead Tools Programmer to help build out our tools and pipeline for our Studio.

Located near Boulder, Colorado, Deck Nine Games is a BAFTA and VGA nominated developer of narrative adventure games. Always innovating, we're growing and are seeking highly qualified programmers to join our amazing team.

Our programmers work with all disciplines across the studio and are a key component to our games.

Currently the studio is remote, waiting until it is safe to return to the office. For this position we would consider both onsite and fully remote applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Technology Director, CTO, and Mocap and Content teams to increase the efficiency and quality of our pipelines and games
  • Help our devs work faster, smarter, and deliver better content
  • Identify pipeline problems and brainstorm solutions
  • Help lead a small Tools and Pipeline team in their efforts

Requirements & Skills:

  • Senior-level experience in the console/PC industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent
  • Desire to help content teams work faster and more efficiently
  • Strong knowledge of C++ programming language
  • Experience with the QT framework
  • Tool architecture experience
  • Be a driven, motivated personality that wants to make great tools

Pluses:

  • Unreal 4 experience
  • Mocap pipeline and process experience
  • WPF and C# experience
  • AAA games pipeline experience

Deck Nine Games is an independent game developer dedicated to crafting interactive story games that inspire, transform, and entertain players. Our passion is storytelling games.

Our first narrative game, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is loved by fans and has won multiple awards, including Game of Year and was nominated for both a VGA and a BAFTA. The studio is 100+ people and is in sunny Westminster, Colorado at the base of the Rocky Mountains. We hope to share more information about our next title with Square Enix as soon as we can.
