Synthesis AI is pioneering the use of synthetic data to build more capable AI. Our proprietary synthetic data and simulation platform enables the programmatic generation of vast amounts of photorealistic images and accompanying pixel-perfect labels. We empower the largest tech companies in the world and are looking to add to our world-class team of visual effects artists.
We are looking for a strong CG Generalist to spearhead our internal asset generation pipeline. Utilize your creativity and technical expertise in areas such as 3d modeling, UV/texture generation, rigging, animation (character) and lighting/rendering to build a growing library of high quality 3d assets for use within our proprietary pipeline. As our Senior CG Generalist, you will have the opportunity to provide critical insight and direction to our internal team as well as our team of freelance contractors from around the world.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain our 2d/3d asset library through modeling, texturing, shading, rigging/animation, lighting and rendering
Help produce high quality marketing art and business development imagery
Assist in asset file conversions, retopologizing and optimization (model and shaders)
Partner with back-end departments to maintain and improve the CG pipeline
Interface with external contractors and contribute to our technical and artistic specifications for asset generation
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of VFX/commercial or AAA game production experience using Vray, Maya and/or 3DS Max
Proficient in modeling, uv/texturing, rigging, lighting, hard-surface and organic CG objects, rendering and basic animation.
Proven ability (demo reel) in creating photo-real CG elements using Vray
Proficiency in PBR texture workflows (substance, mari, etc)
Proficient in Photoshop
Hands-on exposure to pipeline development
Ability to work independently and both give/receive art/technical direction
Excellent communication and documentation skills
