JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Committed independent worker, self-sufficient in his / hers artistic and technical / production skills and time-management, working with the art director on design and development of the visual style of characters in game
• Ability to be made accountable for animation of characters in game, making creative decisions to maintain consistent style • Ability to mentor & be mentored in making creative decisions to maintain consistent style
• Creation of consistent high quality animation
• Prove proactive in problem solving with other team members
• Ability to motivate others and maintain positive professional attitude • Ability to work with the team and art director to ensure all milestones are met on time
REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 3+ years experience as an animator in a production environment using Motion Builder, Maya (and/or 3D Studio Max).
• Exceptional skills in animating characters, human and other
• Experience working with motion capture data, achieving high quality and natural looking animations.
• At least 3 shipped titles
• Positive attitude, good work ethic and good communication skills
• High interest in games
DESIRED SKILLS AND PLUSES:
SKILLS
• Thorough knowledge and efficiency using 3D animation packages, including but not limited to Motion Builder, Maya (and/or 3D Studio Max).
• Strong skill set in applying motion capture data to characters, making necessary enhancements and adjustments, however maintaining the integrity of the motion capture performance
• Mentorship abilities
• Exceptional ability to produce animation, with a focus on characters
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multi task if needed
• In-game cinematic production experience a plus
• Traditional animation experience
