The Details

On the heels of our successful inaugural VFX Career Fair & Technology Expo last year, the Visual Effects Society presents our Worldwide VFX Career Fair. This will be a daylong event where the very best practitioners in the Visual Effects industry and the top companies in entertainment from around the world converge on Los Angeles, New York, Montreal, & San Francisco on Saturday, June 16, 2012 to employ, educate and inform the Visual Effects Community.

The VES VFX Global Career Fair & Technology Expo has the distinction of being the world’s largest Visual Effects specific Career Fair and Technology Expo dedicated solely to the Visual Effects professional. Exhibitions, Career Fair, Technology Showcases, and Software Master classes, all set the stage for the 2nd VES Career Fair and Technology Expo.

The Career Fair

In our ongoing effort to match our VES members with top companies seeking highly qualified Visual Effects talent to fill open positions, this event will allow participating companies the opportunity to meet and interview the very best of the best in the VFX community – VES members.

This will be a “walk through” event where companies and exceptionally qualified job seekers get the opportunity to walk through and weigh their options with regards to “What’s next?” in their respective futures.

As a business participant in this Career Fair you have the opportunity to screen candidates for existing or future job openings while building a database of quality candidates. This event will give you the distinction of branding your company as a desirable place to work and to promote your company to future employees.

For job seekers, the Career Fair is a convenient way to apply with multiple companies and to get immediate interviews. The Career Fair also enables job seekers the opportunity to gather company and career information.

The Tech Expo

The Technology Expo will showcase emerging trends in VFX production, post, television, animation, and gaming, all while giving participants the opportunity to preview and network with representatives from top facilities and studios at this very niche industry event.

The Technology Expo will give participants a sneak peak around the corner at “The Next Big Thing” in VFX tech. Companies big and small will be on hand to showcase the world’s most innovative VFX technologies.

VFX Tech Expo invites a broad spectrum of companies, from established multinationals to revolutionary new startups, to promote and demonstrate their products to an eager audience of Visual Effects professionals and students from around Southern California and around the world.

Master Series Software Workshops

The event will host Master Series workshops, where attendees can polish up on their skills by sitting in on presentations by companies presenting the latest advancements in their technology. Last year Autodesk, Houdini and Adobe, all raised the bar with their respective presentations. This year we expect even more extraordinary participation from our industry’s leading companies.

Who’s invited?

Anyone who is anyone in the field of Visual Effects from around the world!
