Concept Artist - Characters

Deck Nine Games is currently hiring a Character Concept Artist to help us create the next generation of beloved digital characters.

Could this be you? Well, are you an artist who radiates passion, talent, and an unquenchable curiosity about the human form? Do you want the camera to linger on your characters as they deliver award-winning performances. If so, then you are the right person for the job!

Responsibilities:

• Work with studio Art Director and Game Director to design and concept realistic, modern-day characters

Qualifications:

• Understanding of anatomy
• Ability to render a believable face
• Ability to do a consistent front and side version of a head/face
• Ability to render clothing and design believable outfits
• Render hair and a variety of hairstyles
• A portfolio link showcasing your highest quality character artwork

Deck Nine Games is an independent game developer dedicated to crafting interactive story games that inspire, transform, and entertain players. Our passion is storytelling games. 

Our first game, Life is Strange: Before the Storm is loved by fans and has won multiple awards, including Game of Year and was nominated for both a VGA and a BAFTA. The studio is 90+ people and is working on an unannounced story adventure game and is growing additional teams for more projects.
