Ideal candidates should show potential for exceptional creative research/scholarship and excellence in teaching, have an active exhibition record in their field, as well as a dedication to making a difference in the world through their work, pedagogy and University service. The successful candidate will be expected to teach studio art classes and be an effective and engaging educator, to show a strong commitment to the development of multimedia arts curricula, to advise and mentor undergraduates in pursuit of their academic and professional goals, engage in activities to promote inclusive excellence, and to collaborate with colleagues to create a dynamic learning environment for increasing student success. The candidate will engage with the digital media foundations within the curriculum of the Studio Arts program as well as expand upon its vision with new curricular offerings connected to the candidate’s research in line with the University’s mission. The typical teaching assignment is four to five courses per year at the undergraduate level. This is based on a 2-2-2-3 rotating course load. Additionally, service to the School, College, University, and profession is expected.
