Licensing Coordinator

Description

The Licensing Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the Director of Licensing with managing Bethesda Softworks’ global merchandise licensing initiatives. This position will assist with the oversight and management of activities to license the company’s intellectual properties to other parties in order to increase game sales, enhance brand value and increase overall company revenue. This position will assist with the pursuit of licensing agreements and development of such opportunities. It will work closely with the development and brand management teams in the conception, development, approval and execution of licensed products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with managing all outbound and/or inbound licensing activities
  • Assist with the identification and recommendation of products to be licensed
  • Assist in the development of licensing deals and ensure that deals are carried out according to specifications
  • Assist with negotiations with companies interested in using company products
  • Work directly with the Licensing Director on licensing projects and programs, including the development and approval by the studios and brand management teams of all licensed products
  • Build and maintain internal and external relationships
  • Serve as a liaison to companies interested in licensing activities
  • Assist with the formulation and execution of the global licensing Business Plan
  • Track progress, and ensure targets, goals and objectives are met
  • Assist the Licensing Director with managing communication and cooperation of sales and marketing efforts that affect licensing deals, as well as PR and Community initiatives to promote licensed products
  • Ensure adherence to budgets for external resources such as legal services or advertising agencies

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • 2-4 years of experience in licensing
  • Game industry knowledge is ideal
  • Consumer package goods experience in essential
  • Knowledge of licensing business models and working arrangements
  • Experience in negotiating contracts and closing deals is ideal
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Must possess demonstrated decision-making, problem solving, skills
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
