Computer Vision Programmer

Gameloft, the largest mobile game development studio in Montreal, is currently seeking a Computer Vision Programmer to join its R&D team.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

·         Programming in the appropriate languages (C/C++)

·         Developing algorithms based on computer vision to detect the various graphical elements of a game

·         Developing algorithms to simulate player behaviour

·         Developing algorithms to automatically detect any operating anomaly in a game

·         Working closely with various production teams (designers, graphic artists, testers, etc.) to develop tools to help debug games

Requirements

·         Essential: C/C++

·         Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

·         Essential: Fluent in French and English

·         Essential: Relevant experience developing computer vision algorithms

·         Essential: Very strong mathematical skills

·         Asset: Knowledge of OpenCV

·         Important: Sense of organization, independence and teamwork

·         At least 3 years’ experience in the field

Profile

·         Able to work independently and under pressure

·         Able to deliver within tight deadlines

·         Able to optimize code in terms of size and speed to take full advantage of the capabilities of each platform

·         Able to program in a methodical and structured manner

·         Keen personal interest in video games with solid general knowledge of the field

·         Good communication skills and able to work as part of a team
