We are always looking for Engineers and Roboticists at all experience levels, and from all engineering fields. In particular, we are currently seeking Engineers in the area of mobile robots, and legged locomotion (mechanical/electrical design, control, software architecture, simulation, energetics, actuation).
We are primarily located in sunny Glendale, California (15 miles North of Los Angeles). As a global corporation, we also have opportunities & assignments in most parts of the world.
Develop Disney’s future robotic and animatronic figures, show equipment and enabling platform technologies. Work with artists and creative designers on concepts and mockups, and lead the engineering development all the way to deployment in the parks, where durability, long life, reliability, maintainability, and safety is paramount, while fulfilling the original creative intent.
Responsibilities:
Perform advanced engineering (software, controls, mechanical, electrical) for complex robotics projects in all phases of engineering design ideation, prototyping, development, production, installation, testing, and documentation
Stay current with state of the art and changes in robotics technologyWork closely and communicate well with team members across a wide range of disciplines Basic Qualifications:
3 - 5 years hands-on industry experience with advanced robotics systemsDeep knowledge of complex integrated robotics and mechatronics systems and their componentsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and within diverse project teamsDeep demonstrated knowledge and proven past successes in your area of expertiseSome positions provide travel opportunities to various Disney Park sitesRequired Education:
BS (MS or PhD preferred) in a relevant Engineering discipline
