Technical Resource Administrator

Job Description:

TRAs provide 24x7 support of the studio's rendering efforts during production of DreamWorks' animated feature films. TRAs work with all aspects of production, including fx, lighting, animation, and technology.

Main Responsibilities:

* Monitor and manage the render farm, keeping it running at maximum capacity
* Monitor and manage render jobs, ensuring that production shots are ready for dailies & rounds
* Maintain rendering priorities and resource allocations for various productions
* Assist artists with render job submissions and errors
* Monitor infrastructure servers and escalate problems
* Handle studio help desk calls after hours and on weekends.

* Basic Linux/Unix experience
* Fundamental systems administration skills & general technical troubleshooting experience
* Excellent verbal and writing skills, good organizational skills
* Ability to handle a fast paced, occasionally high pressure environment
* Ability to work well independently and with a group
* Willingness to work very flexible hours on weekend evenings or nights
* Basic shell shell scripting preferred.
