SUMMARY OF POSITION:
NetherRealm
Studios, a division of WB Games Inc, and developers of Mortal Kombat and Injustice,
seeks an Executive Producer to be principle responsibility owner for the
development on one or more AAA projects. This key position at NetherRealm supports
multiple development teams, working directly with leads and producers to
develop AAA video games in both the Mobile and Console space. The ideal
candidate has shipped multiple successful games on Moblie and Console.
The Executive Producer also
works directly with studio leadership in helping set short-term and long-term,
operational strategies for the studio. This position will also work with studio
leadership and WBIE publishing to execute NetherRealm’s business strategies and
goals.
This position should be
the go-to person for all aspects of their project(s) from internal to all
external as well.
Job Responsibilities
-Work with publishing, studio management and leads to establish and maintain the game’s vision, feature set, scope, staffing plan, schedule and budget.
-Champion the game both internally with the team and publishing partner and also externally with community and press to help maintain and drive energy, enthusiasm and urgency to the team.
-Help define milestone goals that hit the quality and budget goals. Also ensure that the project has what is needed in terms of personnel, development tools, development pipelines and technology.
-A natural leader: people believe in your vision, listen to the direction you give them, and are willing to follow you. You are ready and willing to lead the charge.
-With strong verbal and written communication skills, you are able to talk easily with all departments about all aspects of the project and facilitate communication among all internal disciplines of the team.
-Interested in being in the trenches, involved with day to day decisions, while also being able to maintain a strong high-level vision.
-Ability to take broad direction from studio and company senior management while also contributing to setting that direction.
-Manage day to day development issues, attempting to predict and avoid problems, while being prepared to troubleshoot and provide conflict resolution as needed.
-Review and analyze all documents, task lists and interim builds from the team. Create and modify schedules as needed.
-Review milestone deliveries to ensure quality and consistency with design and brand.
-Source highly talented external resources to supplement all aspects of internal development.
JOB QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Work Experience
· The
ideal candidate will have produced at least 5 game titles from inception to
shipping as at least a producer title, at least one title as the Senior
Producer, including one title which has shipped over 1 million units.
· He/she
will have excellent interpersonal skills.
· He/she
will be able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
· He/she
will have relevant production & project management experience.

ability to see upcoming problems and work to solve them proactively
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or
Certification
· A
minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) and 6+ years of
production work experience.
Knowledge/Skills
· Excellent
communication skills required, both written and verbal. Must be able to manage communications
effectively within development and publishing arms.
· Must
have strong organizational skills.
· Must
have strong scheduling, tracking and resource management skills.
· Must
have strong Production knowledge.
· Must
be collaborative and an effective negotiator.
· Must
be a resourceful and creative problem solver.
· Requires
a self -starter with high level of initiative and proactivity.
Other Requirements
· Work
with QA Manager to review testing documentation and overall quality assurance
process.
· Participate
in product demonstrations and press interviews as needed.
· Travel
and/or work at remote site as required.
