Character Artist - Rigger (remote or onsite)

TECHNICAL CHARACTER ARTIST - RIGGING

Deck Nine is an independent game developer that has been creating fun and innovative games for the past 24 years.  We are currently in development on a major console title and we are looking for talented artists to join our team.

Requirements:

   -- Build and troubleshoot character rigs for real time game assets

   -- Solve technical production issues throughout the content creation pipeline

   -- Work to streamline art workflows and pipelines by developing tools/scripts/plugins to help speed production

   -- Ability to be proactive and anticipate potential problems before they occur


Qualifications:

   -- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technical artist in the game industry

   -- A reel showcasing your best rigging and tool development work

   -- Proficiency with Maya

   -- Proficiency with Mel scripting and Python

   -- Experience creating and troubleshooting facial animation rigs

   -- Experience creating rigging tools

   -- Proficiency with the Unreal 4 game engine a plus

   -- Animation skills a plus
